Wine Delivery in SF? Um, Yes Please.

Have you SF’ers heard of this amazing service?

Basically the next time you are desperately in need of a glass of vino and are too lazy or just can’t make it to the store - Rewinery will bring you a trio of delicious high-quality wines to your home, office, or even your picnic blanket in Dolores Park - for a flat free of $40!

You can order wine daily until 2 AM within SF by phone or via their iPhone app. I mean, this sounds like a dream if ya ask me. Reminds me of the delivery ice-cream club I joined in NYC which was amazing. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Thanks to Tasting Table for the note.

Cheers!

This past Saturday afternoon Jeremy and I joined Sarah and Garrett and co at Rodeo Beach in Marin County for a day of picnicking, surfing, and lounging around. Rodeo Beach is two miles north of the Golden Gate bridge so makes for the perfect half day trip.

The beach is known for its pebbly sand and gorgeous bluffs (tip: sit with your back against the bluffs to hide from the wind). We brougth wine and cheese, a baseball and baseball mitts, blankets, a JAMBOX, + great company - and we had ourselves a lovely day.

A day on the beach in the middle of February, is just one more reason I love CA!

The delightful scene above was taken at St Supery winery on St Helena Highway. The way to picnic, is to stop at a Whole Foods or some of kind grocery store and pick up some bread, cheese, grapes, humus, whatever it is you fancy, and then head to a winery with a nice outside garden to hang, sip their wine, and enjoy the views. Andrea and her boyfriend Colin had never been wine tasting before (they were in town visiting from NYC) and so we thought this was the perfect way to show them the ropes.

We also went to Cakebread Winery and Chimney Rock. Cakebread was delicious! I’ve always loved their wine so this was no surprise - you need a reservation here and although the tour wasn’t that great, the scenery and wine certainly made up for it. I bought a bottle of the 2010 Chardonnay, couldn’t resist. Chimney Rock was par for the course.

Perfect Sunday afternoon = food, drink, good company, lovely view, and a nice light breeze.

A couple pix from our BBQ at Golden Gate park over Memorial Day weekend.

Pictured above is Lauren who you guys know is my new SF roommate - we signed a lease last Friday! ahhh! The second picture is of Lauren and her childhood BBF, Karen, who I have a feeling will grace this blog a lot once we make the move. She introduced us to so many awesome people and new friends.

Side note - I’m wearing one of my newest fav light sweaters from Urban. Sailboat = had to have it.

Happy Friday ya’ll
